Journal of Child Health Care is a professionally focused, peer reviewed journal which addresses child health issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective. It fosters critical understanding of the neonate, child and adolescent in health and illness. Journal of Child Health Care sees children as part of the community in which we live and considers health issues arising from it. The International Editorial Board reflects expertise from across the world and from a range of different professions.
The Journal of Child Health Care, the official journal of the Association of British Paediatric Nurses, celebrated its 10th birthday in 2006. It is published by Sage Publications. The Editor is Dr Bernie Carter, Professor of Children’s Nursing and she is based at the University of Central Lancashire. The UK based associate editor is Helen Langton, currently Associate Dean at Coventry University and the US based associate editor is Jean Ivey Associate Professor at University of Alabama. From September 2011, the Journal has become the official journal of the Council of Children’s Nurses. We look forward to working in partnership with the ABPN and Sage Publishing. Recruitment for an Associate Editor from CCN will commence in late 2011.
