Our Vision
The Council of Children’s Nurses Inc. will be an effective organisation advocating for nurses caring for children and the health of children. The Council believes that the care of children is a specialist branch of nursing and should reflect nursing and professional competence of the highest standard.
Objectives of the Council are
- To promote nursing practice in the care of children and their families.
- To participate in the development and revision of standards of practice in paediatric and child health nursing.
- To act in an advisory capacity on matters relating to nursing practice in relation to caring for children, education and the health of children.
To improve the standard of paediatric and child health care by promoting the exchange of ideas and continuing education of members.
