On behalf of the Council of Children’s Conference Committee I am extending an invitation to you to join us in Sydney for our inaugural 2-day conference to be held on March 24 & 25th, 2011 – we ask you to be prepared to debate, discuss and celebrate nursing children and their families.

The theme for the conference is “Winds of Change” with a program to address the evolving changes happening not only locally, nationally and globally in the provision of health services for children. These changes bring with them their own set of challenges for clinical services and for professional management whilst we also acknowledge we are on the brink of what could be one of the greatest changes in NSW for healthcare provision for children with the implementation of NSW Kids.

ChildrenThis decade is looking to be one of many changes, some of which we have the opportunity to participate in and to challenge. Changes in staff/patient ratios, staffing mix and models of care, all bring their own unique set of challenges for nurses caring for children and their families.

Please consider joining us in Sydney and extend your stay to enjoy some of the things Sydney has to offer over the a weekend by exploring our lovely city, seeing the sites, climbing the bridge, shopping and catching the pre-winter sales or just relaxing by the harbour.

Register your interest to receive updates on the Conference.
